Tata Sky+ Transfer Launch Event

I had a rejuvenating weekend after a long long time last week. On Saturday, met up with a good friend, gorged on delicious food & chilled. 

With Sunday, came the launch event of Tata Sky, which happened to be my first Indiblogger event. The  Tata Sky+ Transfer set top box (STB) was launched, a new technology which allows you to record your favorite TV shows on your set top box & hand held device (Android 4.1.2 & above or IoS 6.0 & above) & watch it anytime anywhere via the new Tata Sky App. Now, isn't that awesome?


What with busy schedules, TV viewing time is mostly late in the day or during the weekends, so why miss it each weekend or download it & encourage piracy..With this new set top box, which is a first of its kinds in India, you can view the shows offline as the recording will be done automatically on the smart phone or tablet via the set top box over a WiFi connection.

The Tata Sky+ STB is available nationally & is priced at INR 9300 for new subscribers & at INR 7890 for existing Tata Sky subscribers, who can upgrade the technology. The STB comes with a WiFi dongle too. The 500 GB hard disk that is provided can record up to 625 hours of content.

The event was held at the newly launched, St. Regis in Mumbai & the Illuminati dance group stole the evening with their brilliant performance which explained the Tata Sky+ features so well. Special mention to the Game of Thrones part done so flawlessly.

I have lived in 3 cities in India so far- New Delhi, Mumbai & Jamshedpur. Hence, whenever someone asks me my most favorite city in India; its a tough choice to decide. The Sands of Time..

At some stage in life, each one of us goes through a phase where we question our relationships with people..those we know since years & the ones, who we knew so well, but don't any longer.. In the past few days, I've been thinking of the latter category.. Where did we lose touch.. why don't we talk the same way we used to ..etc.. These "thinking episodes" usually end with me, blaming self, for not having kept in touch or calling them often. But in hind sight, when I go through my messages be it on Whatsapp or a social networking site, I see that, I've tried- even if its not once a week..we've spoken at least once a month.  This led me to think some more & I've come to the conclusion that there is not better way to keep in touch than call or meet the person personally. But, due to busy schedules, its usually not possible. However, deep down in my heart, I feel, if you want someone to remain a part of your life, you'll make time for him/
